About

We're Matty and Kelly Clarke, living off-grid on a remote island off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada — restoring an abandoned house and building a working homestead from the ground up. It’s just the two of us and our dogs, Ronnie and Bluebell. These videos follow the real, day-to-day work of island life: hauling livestock by boat, building fences and shelters, clearing land by hand, making sea glass jewelry, cooking from scratch, and creating a life in a place that was once a thriving outport community — now quiet for over 50 years. Before the island, Matty spent years living in wild places across Canada — from building log cabins in the Yukon, to primitive survival in the desert, to off-grid living deep in the woods with just a dog and a pack. That chapter laid the groundwork for what we're building now. Instagram: @kellynclarke @mattyclarke
